Do you find yourself feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure how to catalyze the changes you desire for your wellbeing?
Beginning or resuming your counseling journey can certainly feel cumbersome or difficult at first and I am so glad you are here.
I am an empathetic, encouraging and honest provider. I provide affirmative care for all abilities, ages, body types, belief systems, genders, race, sexual orientations, and levels of need. I value guidance that is intentionally focused on the whole person and takes into account the unique and complex combination of emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual components that make us all human.
I take an eclectic approach to counseling which means I draw from a variety of disciplines and evidence-based methods to provide a unique combination of strategies to support you in progression toward your desired outcomes. I conceptualize counseling as a collaborative endeavor rooted in non-judgmental relational care where knowledge is shared and preferences are honored to empower meaningful and practical solutions.
I hold a BS in Special and Elementary Education and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Some of my professional experiences include serving as a public educator and a private/boarding school administrator and school counselor. I have also provided case management and support for individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injuries and in Community Level Mental Health Services, Oncology, and Palliative Care settings.
